I am trying to decide if Josh looks better this year or not. So far, he has performed very much like last year....close, but no real cigar. He seems like he could be better, and shows flashes of brilliance....but never seems to click. Not unlike Matt Clement. Thoughts?

I had commented that he seems more mature on the mound, as if he is really working on getting to the consistent brilliance rather than the more erratic action from last year. Hopefully he will remember the discoveries he made about his pitching performances as 2006 wound down.

To me it seems like he's almost a different person. He has really come into himself this year and is going back to his full arsenal (I believe its his curve that was non-existant last year) which should make that fast ball of his deadly.

Based on last night's performance, things are looking pretty good for the new Beckett. Hopefully "Upper Deck Beck" will be gone forever.
